Customs Clearance
New UK Customs Declaration System. The UK government has developed a new customs platform known as the Customs Declaration System (CDS). This new system is now linked to your organisation’s Government Gateway account, allowing you to see various aspects of your import and export process—for example, pending VAT amounts and outstanding deferment amounts.
Customs Brokerage can be arranged to facilitate the customs clearance process and is an integral part of the overall transport services we offer.
Export documentation including Letters of Credit, Certificates of Origin and EUR1 can also be provided.

It is surprisingly common for companies to assume that their carriers limited liability will somehow cover them in the event of damage or loss of goods. This is not always the case.
ITS take care to remind customers that their goods may require insuring to full value to ensure they do not lose out in the event of a claim.
It is worth checking whether it is the Exporter, the Consignee or Forwarder who are expected to arrange insurance cover.
